Power Outages and Trees Down

Windy conditions Thursday morning are leaving some Americans Electric customers in the dark.

These are the power outage numbers as reported by AEP:

Muskingum County: 1015

Licking County: 244

Coshocton County: 207

Fairfield County: 253

Guernsey County: 218

There is no word on when power will be restored.

There are also several reports of trees or branches in roadways. The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office said that a portion of Northfield Road is blocked by a downed tree and Wayne Avenue is closed to traffic due to power lines in the roadway. The sheriff’s office in Perry County said that State Route 669 is blocked between State Routes 93 and 345. Do drive with caution if you’re commuting.
