Power Restored In Newark

American Electric Power is reporting that power is restored to just over 2600 customers in the Newark area. A-E-P says a car slammed into a power pole Wednesday morning and caused the outage. It has since been repaired. Now police are searching for the driver who fled the scene on Mt. Vernon Road.
