Powerball jackpot reaches $510 million

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Powerball jackpot has climbed up to $510 million.
Locals were in and out of Mother Tucker’s Thursday afternoon on Sharon Ave. After Wednesday nights drawing, no one matched all six numbers, so the lottery game continues to grow.
Mark Lane, a manager at Mother Tucker’s, said he has seen a lot of new faces, and customers feel their store is the lucky spot.
“I actually get a lot of business people coming in and they collect money and they come here, said Lane. We’ve sold so many winners, they just feel this is the lucky spot.”
Powerball hopefuls already have plans for what they would do if their numbers are drawn. Mary Gribben said her first reaction would be to scream.
“I could afford a chauffeur to take me to Florida, Georgia, California, Virginia, said Gribben.”
At $510 million, this would be the 8th largest lottery jackpot, but the odds of winning are 1 in 292.2 million.
The next drawing is Saturday, August 19.
