Pro Act Meets with Muskingum County Commissioners

Pro Act met with the Muskingum County Commissioners Thursday morning.

A representative was there to talk about the Prescription Discount Card Program. Pro Act works with counties and municipalities across the nation to offer the program to area residents. This program offers discounts to residents paying full cash price for prescriptions. Terrence O’Neill, Discount Card Program Manager of Pro Act Told us everyone is eligible to take part in it.

"Everyone is eligible. There’s no prerequisites based on income, age or anything like that. It’s primarily for residents that don’t have prescription coverage or those that are under insured. An under insured resident is someone who has some sort of prescription coverage through their employer, however, they have needs for medications that aren’t covered so they’ll be paying the full cash price and ultimately our goal is to ensure that residents no longer have to pay that full price."

O’Neill says opportunities such as the prescription discount card program are important because they allow individuals affordable medication.
