Prom Giveaway for Zanesville High School Students

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Local business owners came up with an idea for Zanesville High School seniors.

What started as a conversation on Twitter between Sandy Schaumleffel an Expanded Function Dental Assistant at Dr. Hawkins’ Dental and Prince Fields the owner of Prince of Cuts, turned into a Prom Giveaway. Schaumleffel said this idea was created about two weeks ago and they are now offering to provide a prom package for one male and one female student.

“We want them to go out there last year and have an amazing time so it’s pretty much everything. For the girl, the whole package is dress, shoes, hair, everything that goes with that,” Along with their tickets to prom and dinner and the guy the same way. Hair cut if he wants, manicure, pedicure, tux, everything that goes with his package,” Schaumleffel said.

There are multiple other local businesses, such as Matz Fitness and A1 Heating and Cooling, who got together to help support this giveaway by providing a monetary donation or their services.

“A good experience and hopefully that will give them, down the road if they can ever pay back and give forward somehow, that maybe they’ll opt to do that,” Schaumleffel said.

To enter into the giveaway, you can go to Prince of Cuts or Dr. Hawkins’ Dental to fill out an entry ticket. The deadline to enter is Friday, March 15th and the drawing takes place on Saturday, March 16th.
