Putnam Avenue Fire
The Zanesville Fire Department responded to a fire around 4:30 p.m. Monday afternoon at 1133 Putnam Ave.
Assistant Chief Bob Long said the home is vacant and that the fire started at the back of the house. Long also said that the fire is suspicious since the house lacks utilities. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
Putnam avenue was shut down for approximately an hour and a half while crews got the fire under control.
Zanesville Police Department and Genesis Community Ambulance also responded to the scene.
