QCP Corporate Challenge

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Downtown Zanesville is home to many businesses that hold public events which help to keep the neighborhood relevant. 

Quality Care Partners is one of those businesses that will be holding their 3rd Annual Corporate Challenge in May. The unique event was established to promote wellness programs and initiatives.

“We basically take over downtown Zanesville with 12 different challenges located at 12 businesses, including our own, which is the start and finish line, which we’re… we love. We have DJ Kurtus that comes and is our emcee for it and brings the music and gets us started. So it’s a lot of fun. But yeah we… it kind of mimics the original corporate challenge that was where the brainchild stemmed from. We thought we’d bring it back but with a little bit different… flare,” QCP Marketing and Sales Staff Member Michele Shirer said.

The contest resembles the Amazing Race in that each business presents a unique challenge, whether it be coordination, physical or mental, the first team of three to five people that completes all the challenges wins.

“We invite businesses from all over the area to come and compete against each other,” Shirer said. “The challenges are not just physical, they’re mental. We’ve had yoga, we’ve had chair volleyball, we had a wheelchair race, we do have some big ones where we hop through the tires and flip the tires. But the banks also challenge our financial wellness and we’ve had to empty out a till, we’ve balanced a penny, so it’s a lot of fun.
