Questions for A Job Interview

During the interview process, you may feel that you’re the one answering all the questions, but employers want you to ask them questions too.

Julie Metzger of the Muskingum County Opportunity Center says to be prepared at the end of your interview with questions about the company and the job.

"It’s always a good thing to have questions at the end of the interview for the employer," she said. "Some questions might be, what kind of training period do you have? What are the steps for promotion?"

According to Metzger, asking your potential employer questions shows them your interest in the position.

It also helps to do your homework before the interview.

"We encourage people to do a little research on the company that they’re applying for. Whether that be a website where they look up information," she said. "Or calling the receptionist and letting them know they’re coming in for an interview and they want some more information on the company. That sort of thing."

Metzger suggests researching when the business was created, when the company when in to business and what they specialize in. Knowing this information before hand can help you stand out from other applicants.
