Rackley commits to UNC Asheville
Drew Rackley proved that he’s a Division I talent in the state tournament, earning “Most Outstanding Player” honors while leading the Muskies to their first state title.
Next on Rackley’s list is a Big South title.
The Muskie senior has committed to continue his basketball career at UNC Asheville. Rackley initially signed with Virginia Military Institute, but the two-time first-team All-Ohioan received a full release from VMI and reopened his recruitment earlier this month.
The UNCA Bulldogs made the NCAA tournament for the fourth time in school history this past season, falling to eventual national champion Villanova in the first round.
Rackley scored 25 points and grabbed 11 boards in John Glenn’s state championship triumph over Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary.
