Rally For Recovery Fundraiser and Kickoff Party

NEW LEXINGTON, Ohio – Celebrating the road to recovery.

New Lexington Activity Center held a fundraiser and kickoff party for Rally For Recovery. The mission of Rally for Recovery is to offer support for anyone struggling with mental illness or addiction. Rally for Recovery prides itself with the desire to make a difference. The party was free to attend, and offered an auction, raffle, live music, snacks and beverages, and words from recovery speakers.

“We have guest speakers come down. And some of them are from addiction, some suffer with mental illness, and some suffer with both. But we represent everybody in recovery including everybody on the outside that supports that recovery when they go home,” said Executive Director of Rally For Recovery, Christopher Tigner.

Tigner believes spreading awareness of certain issues is extremely important.

“What we’re trying to do is let everybody know that hey, there are places out there that’ll help you. And you don’t have to be afraid to put yourself out there,” he said.

The event ran from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., donations were accepted and the proceeds went to the cause of Rally For Recovery.
