Rambo Renewal Levy on November Ballot
Rambo Memorial Health has gotten permission from the Muskingum County Commissioners to put a renewal levy on the November ballot.
The .4 mill levy has been in effect since 2004 and Rambo Health says it’s important to move forward with the renewal levy now to begin getting ready for the election.
“We need to raise money in order to get the support for the levy and in order to do that we have to go through the county commissioners to get approval before we go to the board of elections,” says Crystal Bebout, executive director Rambo Memorial Health Center.
For a homeowner with a $100,000 property value the levy translates to $12.25.
The levy allows Rambo to continue the many free community services they offer.
“The main thing we do are TB skin tests. We do detection, prevention and treatment of tuberculosis here in Muskingum County. Actually anybody can get a TB skin test here who works in the county so even if you’re from another county and you work in the county you can get a TB skin test for free,” she says.
Rambo also offers free flu shot clinics. Last year they gave out more than 16,600.
The renewal levy will be voted on November 3rd.
