Raymond Brooks, 94, went to be with his Lord on Feb 7, 2024 at his home with his family around him. Raymond was born April 10, 1929 in Portersville, OH. The son of the late George and Frances Brooks. Raymond was a retired truck driver for Roadway Express. He loved baseball especially the Indians and was inducted into the Perry County Baseball Hall of Fame. He was diehard Buckeyes fan, he enjoyed hunting and golfing. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Shirley Brooks, daughters, Mary (Kenny) Knapp of Zanesville, Becky (Bob) Miller of Zanesville, Christine (Jim) Starrett of Blue Rock, Denise (Greg) Satterfield of South Carolina, Dosha (Bob) Brown of South Carolina, Diane (John) Musser of Troy OH, Dawn (Heath) Phillips of Colorado, Sons, Raymond Brooks Jr of Michigan, Dennie Wickard (Lisa) of Pennsylvania, numerous grandchildren, great-grand children, and great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Delbert Brooks, Basil Brooks, Sis (Ann) Sprankle, Norman Brooks, Walt Brooks, 2 son in laws Kenny Knapp and Bob Miller, 2 grandsons Shane Miller and Jared Musser.

Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Monday February 12, 2024 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage where funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Larry Harper officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park.
