Raymond Nicholson

Raymond Edward Nicholson, 61, of Senecaville, passed away Saturday (November 9, 2024) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge.

He was born September 19, 1963 in Cambridge, son of Marylin (Simmons) Nicholson and the late Donald Nicholson Sr.

Raymond was a plant manager at Mahle in McConnelsville and previously worked at Dana Glacier Vandervell and Press Forge. He was a 1981 graduate of Meadowbrook High School. He enjoyed working on vehicles and tinkering in the garage, as well as spending time with his family.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Raymond Nicholson II; and a brother-in-law, Rodney Schmittler.

Raymond is survived by his mother, Marylin Nicholson of Cambridge; his wife, Tressa (Schmittler) Nicholson of Senecaville, whom he has been married to for 38 years – they were married on November 1, 1986; two brothers, Don (& Darlene) Nicholson and Bob (& Tracy) Nicholson of Byesville; his daughter, Trisha Nicholson (& Joey Wheeler) of Senecaville; his beloved grandchildren, Cayden, Calista, and Cameron of Senecaville; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clyde and Bev Schmittler of Cambridge; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held Friday (November 15, 2024) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, where funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. David Glass officiating.

Burial will be at East Union Cemetery.
