Record Breaking Temperature In December

Christmas is only 11 days away but, with the summer-like weather this weekend it’s hard to wonder whether or not there will be a white Christmas.

We visited Zane’s Landing Trail Sunday to see what folks thought about the warm weather and everyone seems to have the same opinion.

“It’s beautiful. You should be out, everybody should be out and enjoying it,” said Margaret Noll.

“He loves the out doors and he really likes to be outside all kinds of weather,” said Luanne Shull.

“It feels nice that we can actually get outside and do stuff,” said Nick Mealey.

“Well we think it’s great and we’re really enjoying it. It’s hard to believe this is the middle of December in Zanesville, Ohio,” said Peter Davis.

We asked some of those same people if they would like to see snow for Christmas, and some said they would rather have snow for personal reasons.

“I’m wanting snow because, I don’t really want to go to school in the winter time,” said Mealey.

Others are fine either way, as long as everyone is safe.

“I drive to Columbus, so it can be snow on the ground but, the roads needs to be clear,” said Noll.

“We’ll take whatever we get and we hope everybody has a very Merry Christmas, no matter what it is,” said Davis.

We spoke with Meteorologist Ross Caruso and he told us while this weekend has felt like summer, prepare to start getting into the winter mood. Next weekend there is a high possibility of 30 degree temperatures and even some snow.
