Record Breaking Temperature in February 2016

Mother nature provided a short break from the frigid temperatures with unseasonably warm weather.

Ohio resident made their way outside to enjoy the spring like air today and many say it’s just too beautiful out there to stay indoors.

"I just love it. I keep begging my mom to get me a pool so we can have fun outside but no," said Lillian Schmidt, a Groveport, OH resident.

"The fresh air. Breathing fresh air," said Judy Luth, a Findlay, OH resident.

"Be outside as absolutely much as possible as I can because I love the warmth, I love the sun it makes me happy," said Beth Harlan, of Groveport, OH.

"We love to be outdoors so anything we get a chance to hike or walk we do," said Jerry Luth, Findlay, OH resident.

"I like getting out and walking and just getting outside," said Debbie Snider, of Roseville, OH.

Today temperatures reached a high of 70-degrees. Just last week we saw a record low of negative -2 degrees. Residents say this weekend is definitely an improvement.

"Welcome to ohio," said Harlan.
"I like the warm weather, I don’t like the cold weather," said Snider.
"Oh, we’ll take this any day, any day," said Findlay.

Meteorologist, Ross Caruso said a year ago today our record low was set at negative -16 degrees.
