Red Cross Assisting Residents in Perry County

PERRY COUNTY, OH – The American Red Cross staff and volunteers have been working through the early morning hours to provide shelter for residents in Perry County who have been forced out of their homes due to dangerous flash flooding.

Currently the Red Cross has 2 shelters set up throughout Perry County; The Perry County Fairgrounds in New Lexington and the Corning-Monroe Civic Center in Corning.

The Crooksville Middle School shelter has been closed and the residents from that shelter have been relocated to the Fairgrounds.

Anyone in need of Red Cross assistance can call 1-800-Red Cross or go to one of the shelters.
