Red Cross Sending Help to Helene Victims

The Red Cross in Ohio is sending a number of volunteers to assist in the storm ravaged southeast.
A third emergency response vehicle from the region is leaving the Cincinnati office Monday. Over the weekend two units, one from Cincinnati, the other from Newark were joining the fleet of emergency response vehicles.
The Red Cross reports 1,400 workers from across the country are in the states impacted by Hurricane Helene.
The storm has also cancelled blood drives across the southeast causing more than 1,500 blood donations to go uncollected. They’re urging those in unaffected areas to help rebuild the critically needed supply. You can schedule a blood donation appointment at redcrossblood.org
If you would like to make a monetary donation to help those affected by Helene you can do so by visiting redcross.org, calling 1-800-Red Cross or texting the word Helene to 90999.
