Remembering William Buzz Benson

A well known former Zanesville plant manager has died.  William Buzz Benson passed away in his sleep Thursday morning at his farm in North Zanesville.  Benson was an industrial engineer and the local plant manager of Brockway Glass.  After retiring he started a second career in marketing and management at National Gas and Oil.  Benson was a World War II Veteran.  He also served on many boards including Good Samaritan Medical Center and Genesis.  He was also a member of the Zanesville Kiwanis Club and the American Legion Post 29 and an elder at the Zanesville Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.  Bolin-Dierkes will be handling the arrangements.  At Buzz’s request there will be no viewing and funeral, but there will be a memorial service held at a later date.  Benson was 89-years-old.
