Renner Theatre Presents Aladdin Jr.

 A play that will take you to a ‘whole new world’ is now showing at the Renner Theater.

Aladdin Jr. is the Disney production of Aladdin with kids from ages 18 years and under. Director of the play, Shelley Tolliver said the kids have been preparing for this event for 40 Arabian nights.

"They’ve come together very very well. But, it’s a learning process to know the character what do you think about this how would that react to each other. It’s different when they’ve seen it on the cartoon and now to step into those shoes," said Tolliver.

Tolliver said along with it being the very first time Aladdin Jr. has shown at the Renner Theater, it’s also the launch of some new special effects that bring new life to the production.

"The Renner’s are very excited this is our first step into green screen work. When Aladdin and Jasmine take their magically flight their actually flying through Zanesville, so it’s been very exciting," said Tolliver.

Aladdin Jr. Will continue next weekend Friday and Saturday showing at 8 p.m and Sunday showing at 2:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online at: www.zanetraceplayers.org/tickets.
