Rescue operations took place at Chateau Estates

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The seemingly never ending cycle of rains and floods bring trouble to a mobile home park in Zanesville. According to Captain Jacob Gates of the Falls Township Fire Department, several people at Chateau Estates required water rescues. Residents were trapped in their homes due to flooding at around 8 o’clock this morning.

Gates says no injuries were reported and he wants people to remember that if you see high waters, turn around don’t drown. The rescue efforts were a collaboration between several departmetns including but not limited to the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office, Falls Township Fire Department, Washington Township Fire Department, and the Zanesville Fire Department. While no injuries were reported, serveral homes were damaged and some of the roads in the mobile home park are covered in mud.
