Rev. Roger H. Ward (August 3, 1922 – February 3, 2010)

Rev. Roger H. Ward, 87, of Nashport, went to be with his Savior and Lord on Wednesday February 3, 2010 at 11:15 AM at Genesis Extended Care and Rehabilitation.
Rev. Ward was born August 3, 1922 in Decatur, IN to the late Harley and Amanda Neuenschwander Ward. He retired after 43 years as a Nazarene minister and is a member of the Coshocton Church of the Nazarene. He and his wife Marilyn spent their winters near Gainesville, FL. He was very proud of his family and loved reading God’s word. Fishing, gardening, watching tennis and basketball, working with his hand and studying the bible is how Rev. Ward enjoyed his retirement.
Rev. Ward is survived by his wife of 30 years, Marilyn L. Eppley Ward, sons: Rev. Stephen (Thais) Ward of Mt. Vernon, Rev. Stanley (Cindy) Ward of Dayton and Rev. Nathan (Dixie) Ward of Wooster, daughter: Priscilla (Lemoyne) Pringle of Danville, IN, step-daughter: Pamela (Douglas) Allbright of Zanesville, 16 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, brother: Norman (Delores) Ward of Decatur, IN, sister: Joyce (Harry) Moser of Wren and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, 1st wife: Wilma Austin Ward who died in 1978, sisters: Elvira Habegger, June Diehl and Norma Ward.
Visitation will be 4:00 PM till time of service at 6:00 PM Monday February 8, 2010 at the Coshocton Church of the Nazarene, 1058 Orange St, Coshocton, OH. Graveside services will be held at Jericho Cemetery in Winchester, IN at 2:00 PM Tuesday February 9, 2010.
