Rev. Roy F. Wood (March 4, 1922 – January 9, 2012)

ZANESVILLE
Rev. Roy F. Wood, 89 of Zanesville passed away Monday January 9, 2012 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born in Roseville on March 4, 1922 a son of the late Charles Henry and Mabel Mae Figley Wood. After graduating high school, Roy served his country and protected our freedoms in the United States Army during WWII. He retired from the Dura Corporation and after retirement he worked at Walmart as a Greeter at both Zanesville and South Zanesville locations. He was a member of Trinity Full Gospel Church, ministered at various nursing homes in Zanesville, enjoyed to play golf and hunting.
Roy is survived by his loving wife Mary Yonley Wood; daughters Mary Lou (Phil) Johnson of Norwich and Cheryl (Randy) Little of Zanesville; grandchildren Jackie (Jake) Lutz of Zanesville, David Little of Columbus and Danielle Little of Dublin; and great grandchildren Olivia, Owen and Oliver Lutz.
Calling hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8 on Thursday January 12, 2012 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 W. MILITARY RD. ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will be held at 11am Friday January 13, 2012 in the Snouffer Chapel with Rev. Terry Rowland officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Roseville.
