Saturday was a big day for Bishop Rosecrans soccer.
Both the boys and girls teams competed in the East District Final with both teams facing the Hiland Hawks.
It was a rainy day at Stewart Field in Coshocton, but plenty of exciting play.
Unfortunately the RHS boys season came to an end as the Hawks scored two goals in the first half, which proved to much for the Bishops to overcome.
Rosecrans ends their season as district runner up with a 13-3-3 record. Hiland goes on to play South Webster in the Regional Semi-Final on Wednesday at Marietta.
While the boys season comes to an end the Rosecrans girls will move forward to the Regional Semi-Finals after defeating Hiland in double overtime.
Kailey Zemba scored the game winner with 8:40 left in overtime. This is the 5th straight East District Championship title.
It also gave Rosecrans Coach Tom Hutcheson his 100th victory as a coach.
Up next for the Bishops is Grandview Heights. The game will take place Tuesday at Lakewood High School starting at 7pm.
In the Division II boys district final the River View Black Bears advanced with a 4-2 win over Minerva.
One of the goals of the game came on a free kick from Colt Eaton, who put it into a dangerous position before it was headed into the goal by a Minerva defender.
Up next for the Black Bears is St. Francis DeSales on Wednesday at 7pm.
