Ribbon Cutting Ceremony held for Downtown Zanesville Businesses

One local couple is giving an old building a new future in downtown Zanesville.

Nate and Susie Jones are the owners of the downtown building with Nicole’s on Main, Serendipity Salon and Spa and Victoria’s Secret Studio located inside. Today they are celebrating their accomplishments with a ribbon cutting ceremony and had this to say to local residents.

"To let the city know we’re here it’s wonderful downtown. We actually been married almost 48 years. We courted downtown and downtown is alive and we urge everyone to come downtown. The antique shops, the salons, the restaurants, it brings us back to how we remembered it. We just want to stay right here as long as we can," said Susie Jones

Co- Owner Nate Jones said they’re not only filling the demand for services downtown but, paying it forward by helping the younger generation.

"We try to get young people to see the opportunities that the hair cut industry offers. We take stylist to Atlanta twice a year and show them other parts of the industry," Nate Jones explained. "You have to feel good about the industry and you also love what you’re doing."

With the opening of these shops the downtown business count is now at 218.
