Richard A. “Rich” Kohler (June 13, 1953 – January 2, 2012)

Richard A. “Rich” Kohler, 58 of Hopewell passed away Monday January 2, 2012 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born June 13, 1953 in Berea, OH a son of the late James and Ethel West Kohler. He has worked for Amerihost as an auditor, was involved with the Jaycees and a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church. Rich was a gourmet cook, enjoyed traveling, animals, the outdoors, fishing and was an avid Stephen King fan.
Rich is survived by his wife Denise Hobart Kohler; one son Christopher (Amber) Kohler of Zanesville; two daughters Caitlin C. Kohler and Elizabeth A. Kohler both of Hopewell; two brothers James Jr. and Mark Kohler; three sisters Jeanne Hall, Sally Kohler and Vickie Finney; one grandson Erik Kohler and one due in March.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Howard, Scott Kohler and two infant siblings.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
