Richard Brewer

Richard L. Brewer, 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 26, 2026. He was born on October 19, 1945 to the late Willis and Margaret (Johnson) Brewer in St. Johns, Michigan.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Friday, May 1, 2026 at Farus Funeral Home in Duncan Falls. Family will greet friends for 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Richard will be laid to rest at Duncan Falls Cemetery following the service.
Richard grew up on a farm, and spent many years working as a Boiler Operator at Gurnsey Memorial Hospital, now OhioHealth. Richard was a long-time member of La Fayette Masonic Lodge #79. He married the love of his life, Carolyn (Kish) Brewer on August 7, 1965, and together they raised two children. Richard enjoyed a quiet life on his farm and spending time with his family.
Richard is survived by his children, Kelly (Mark) Todd and Joseph (Deb) Brewer; grandchildren, Meghan (Ricky) Ferrell and Audrey Baker; great grandchildren, Marley and Carter Ferrell and Bailee and Reece Baker. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Cotton.
In addition to his parents, Richard is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn; half siblings, Dorothy Lewis and Raymond Brewer; and his dog and long-time companion, Mugsy.
