Richard Lee Vaughn (February 9, 1934 – September 19, 2015)

Richard Lee Vaughn, 81 passed away on Saturday September 19, 2015.
He was born in Zanesville on February 9, 1934 to the late Robert Lloyd Vaughn and Virginia Lee Vaughn Denman. He retired from Kaiser Aluminum and as a city bus driver. He proudly served our country and protected our freedom by serving in the United States Navy.
He is survived by three sons: Rick (Cindy) Vaughn, Ronnie (Debbie) Vaughn, and Donnie Vaughn, three daughters: Debbie McAfee, Val (Scott) Shaw, and Kim (Freddie) Sharrer, a son-in-law Pete Caplinger, 21 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, Brothers and sisters: Butch (Holly) Vaughn, Gary (Hope) Vaughn, Greg (Linda) Vaughn, Tim (Erin) Vaughn, Vicki (Jack) Birkimer, Sherry Vaughn, Gale (Kathy) Kirkbride, Bill (Mary Jane) Kirkbride.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Cora Eveline Terrill Vaughn, a daughter Stacy Caplinger, a brother Bobby Vaughn, a sister Peg Calihan, a granddaughter Shannon McAfee, step parents Margaret Vaughn, and Robert Denman.
Calling hours will be 2-4 and 6-8pm on Thursday September 24 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE. Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Friday in the Snouffer Chapel. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Fairmont Cemetery.
