Richard Murphy

Richard Lee Murphy, 79 of Zanesville Ohio, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025.

Richard was born on January 17, 1946, to Alice and Hubert Murphy. In addition to his parents, Richard is also preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Murphy who passed away on June 1, 2020.

Richard leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Chirs Murphy, Trevor (Katie) Murphy and Andrea Murphy; two sisters, Patty Donahue and Candy Hayes; grandchildren, Chance Murphy, Emily Murphy and Alex Murphy; as well as several other friends and family.

Richard was a simple man, he enjoyed collecting knives, wood working and watching the weather channel. He was known to make very delicious chili. Richard retired after working for Burnham factory for over 50 years. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

Per Richard’s wishes, cremation has been chosen. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
