Rise Together, Honoring the Legacy of Linda Regula
ZANESVILLE. OH – ArtCOZ is partnering with You Will Rise to host a virtual celebration of the life of Linda Regula.
The event will take place online on Saturday October 17th from 1 to 5 PM. Proceeds raised during the event will benefit the Linda Regula Legacy Scholarship Fund.
“So the online event is actually in honor of Linda Regula and we are raising money for a scholarship that is going to be in her name. So that’s what we’re doing this year online and we’re doing it online because of COVID so a lot of people have come together working on this. Musicians, artists, theater, different people coming together and telling their stories and it’s going to be a wonderful event,” ArtCOZ President Kristen Brown said.
The scholarship fund is planned to become an annual art scholarship and the money being raised from this event will fund next year’s scholarship.
“There’s going to be lots of art donated. We’re also going to have an art auction. So people are donating artwork that’s been inspired by Linda. And then artwork that they feel like could raise a good amount of money for the scholarship. We’re also having different musicians send in music and we’ll have some live musicians too playing. It’s going to be held at the Pioneer School but this is just for the filming of it, so it’s all virtual. It will be on the You Will Rise website, the You Will Rise Facebook, and also on the ArtCOZ Facebook.”

ArtCOZ is also sponsoring the Art Walk that will start back up again this Friday from 5 to 8 PM. ArtCOZ asks all guests to wear masks and maintain social distancing so that they may continue hosting the event safely.
