Rita Baker

Rita Mae Baker, 79, of Adamsville, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Born on April 4, 1946, to the late Clell and Evelyn (McCallister) Bradford, Rita was a woman of extraordinary kindness, deep family devotion, and timeless grace.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents; her brother, David Bradford; her cherished son, Mark Baker; and her great-grandson, Owen Davis.
Rita was the heart of her home and the soul of her family. For 67 years, she was the devoted wife and life partner of Rodger Baker. Together, they built a legacy of love and family. She is survived by her children, Lori (Bob) Davis and Jesse Baker; her grandchildren, Brittany (Chuck) Fowler, Jeremy (Kassidy) Davis, Slade Mahon, and Jaden and JaDonte Curtis; and her great-grandchildren, JD, Bella, and Carson Fowler, and Deacon, Owen (in heaven), and Gavin Davis. Cousins who were like sisters: Sherrie Bradford and Charline Knicley.
Rita had an unmatched gift for making everyone feel welcomed, loved, and nourished—whether by her warm embrace, her homemade meals, or her bountiful garden. She found joy in the simple things: tending to her flowers, cooking, and canning for those she loved. Her home was always open, and her heart even more so. On most Wednesday evenings, she could be found with her card club girls, who have met bi-weekly since high school. She cherished family and friends more than anything.
