Rita Crock

Rita E. Crock, age 98 of Zanesville, OH died 9:20 AM, Thursday, November 30, 2023 at her home in Zanesville.
She was born Friday, September 18, 1925 in Noble County; she was the daughter of Rayner Schehl and Bernetta (Rupple) Schehl. She was married on Tuesday, April 23, 1946, to Albert J. Crock who preceded her in death on Saturday, November 2, 2019.
She is survived by her three sons: Joseph (Nancy) Crock of Pataskala, Robert (Connie) Crock of Hopewell & Raymond (Lisa) Crock of Zanesville. 6 Grandchildren Brian (Regan) Crock, Brandy Crock, Bradley (Stephanie) Crock, Alyssa Crock, Adam Crock & Lynnea Crock. 5 great grandchildren; one sister, Donna Bridgeman of Caldwell, and special friend and caregiver, Betty Gregory.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Albert, her parents, three brothers: Victor Schehl, John Schehl and Richard Schehl one sister, Mary Merry.
She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church. Along with her husband she owned & operated Crock Farms located in Springfield Township in Muskingum County and was a member of the Muskingum County Farm Bureau She loved garding crotchiting sewing quilting.
Friends may call from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 AM on Friday, December 8, 2023 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 925 East Main Street Zanesville with Fr. Martin J. Ralko officiating. Burial will conclude in the Mt. Olive Cemetery Zanesville.
