Robert L. “Tug” Hupp, 84, of Senecaville, passed away Wednesday (August 28, 2024) in Lore City.

He was born January 12, 1940 in Zanesville, son of the late Donald Hupp and Edna (Smith) Hupp.

Tug had worked for Schott’s Lumber Company for many years. He was a social member of the Kipling VFW Post 7371.

He enjoyed mowing and being outside. He was a car enthusiast and collector, enjoyed going to car shows, and was a member of the Noble County Cruisers.

Tug loved watching his grandchildren play sports.

He was Methodist by faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte (Conrad) Hupp, who passed away May 6, 1991. They were married April 25, 1967. Also deceased are two brothers, Charles Hupp and James Hupp; and a grandson, Derek Touville.

Tug is survived by two daughters, Nettie (& Dave) Hupp of Kipling and Nancy (& Shawn) Dyer of Buffalo; his companion, Sandy Smith of Lore City; his bonus daughter, Misty (& Dave) Stillion of Kipling; a brother, June Hupp of Byesville; four grandchildren, Brett A. (& Lyn) Wheeler, Lila K. (& Damon) Dyer, Evan C. Dyer, and Konley R. Dyer; four great-grandchildren, Tony, London, Deagan, and Demi; two sisters-in-law, Delores Hupp and Ruby Conrad; and his dogs, Mitzi and Chloe.

Visitation will be held Tuesday (September 3, 2024) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Evan. Mark Beros officiating.

Burial will be at Buffalo Cemetery.
