Robert L. Flynn (March 8, 1927 – August 30, 2011)

Robert L. Flynn, 84 of Baltic , OH formerly of Zanesville died Tuesday, August 30, at Oak Pointe Nursing & Rehabilitation Center Baltic OH. He was born Tuesday, March 08, 1927 in Zanesville the son of Homer Flynn and Hazel (Bunting) Flynn. Robert was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in Japan. He retired in 1987 following 40 years of service with General Electric and was a member of VFW Post 1058. He enjoyed carpentry and could build anything from wood. Robert loved to make tables and other items and recieved his greatest joy in giving them as gifts. He enjoyed spending time with his family and that time spent was very important to him..

Robert is survived by one sister: Barbara Dunn of Zanesville; one sister-in-law: Martha Flynn of Georgia; nieces and nephews: Terry (Susan) Dunn, Rita (Darrell) Jones, Mike (Shela) Flynn and Patty (John) Sisk all of Zanesville; Terry (Martha) Flynn and Butch (Brenda) Flynn all of Tennessee, Diane (Raymond) Snyder of Georgia and Emmy Wright of California; several great nieces and nephews and two very speical friends: George Kenney and Harold Loomis both of Zanesville.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by two brothers: Jack Flynn and Leonard Flynn.

Friends may call from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Friday, September 2, 2011 at The Hillis & Hardwick Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue where funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. Ronald McCoid officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery with VFW Post 1058 conducting Full Military Honors.
