Robert “Oggie Dog” Ogg Sr., 82 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on September 15, 2025, at Genesis Morrison House in Zanesville.

He was born on October 12, 1942, in Athens, Ohio, son of the late Charles W. Ogg and Della Mae (Aldridge) Wentworth. Bob was a member of the Rhema House of Worship in Roseville, Ohio, and the Moose Lodge in Zanesville for several years. He worked as a Horse Trainer and Racer, as well as owner of Hobbies Unlimited on West Main in Zanesville. He was an avid NASCAR and OSU fan. In his spare time, he enjoyed drag racing, anything motorsports, cruising, collecting coins, and camping. Above all, he loved spending his time with his family and loved ones.

He is survived by his 2 children: Robert (Sally) Ogg Jr. and Michael (Mary Jo) Ogg; grandchildren, Ashley (Matt) Edwards, Jade (Brandon) Malloy, Michala Ogg, Beau (Allie) Hartman, and Alexis (Sean Nelson) Hartman; 7 great grandchildren: Aleah, Nate, Carlee, Kynlee, Maddox, Kylo, and Evelyn; caregiver and love chicken, Bonnie Stoops; 3 sisters, Deb, Andi, and Sandy.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Nancy (Hamilton) Ogg.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday September 28, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Rhema House of Worship in Roseville, Ohio (5167 Harlan Rd. Roseville, OH 43777). A dignified cremation has been entrusted to DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Victory Junction Camp (VictoryJunction.org) or the Rhema House of Worship (5167 Harlan Rd. Roseville, OH 43777) in honor of Bob.
