Robert Prystasz

Robert Lee Prystasz, 78 of Zanesville died at 1:17 AM Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at the Mount Carmel East Hospital.
He was born April 25, 1946 in Bellaire, Ohio the son of John and Hazel Bachman Prystasz.
Robert was a united states Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He obtained a bachelor’s degree from both the Bliss College and Belmont Technical College. He later earned a Masters of Education from Ohio University. Robert retired from Muskingum Area Technical College after 28 years of service.
Robert enjoyed growing up by the Ohio River, boating and waterskiing. After moving to Zanesville the traditions continued at Dillon Lake.
Robert was devoted to his loving wife, Ilona, their children, and especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter, Caren (Rob) Kendrick and a son, John Prystasz; grandchildren, Shawn, Chase, and Taylor Kendrick, and Jacob (Kerynn Gersper) Prystasz; a great granddaughter, Noa Christine Prystasz; a brother, Gary (Debi) Prystasz and a sister, Linda (Chuck) Antill, an Aunt, Betty Prystasz and several nieces and nephews, and wonderful friends. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, and by his wife, Ilona M. Abraham Prystasz.
Visitation will be 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM with funeral service to follow at 5:00 PM, beginning with Military Honors, on Monday, July 15, 2024 at the Bryan and Hardwick Funeral Home with Chaplain Randy Gearhart officiating.
