Roberta J. Howell (February 25, 1922 – March 16, 2015)

Roberta Jean Howell passed away peacefully March 16, 2015. She was born in Akron, OH February 25, 1922.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph M. Howell who passed away in 1988. They were married in Akron in 1942. The family moved to Zanesville in 1948.
She was the mother of three children Rebecca (Michael) Mahle, Kathleen Ormond and John (Ann) Howell. Grandmother of John E. Ormond, Brian Ormond, Michael Mahle II, Amy Howell Wren and Erin Howell Straine; great grandmother of Edward Ormond, Pierce Ormond, Abby Ormond, Gregory Mahle, Joseph Mahle, Charles Wren, Ava Wren, Cora Straine and Emma Straine.
Mrs. Howell was administrative assistant to Dr. Charles Dietz, longtime Director of the Zanesville Art Center. She retired from the Art Center in 1995 after 35 years. She was active in the Zanesville Art Center, Grace United Methodist Church, Eastern Star no 485 for over 50 years, the Pioneer Historical Society, Zanesville Women’s Club and a volunteer for many years at Bethesda Hospital.

Roberta’s request was no calling hours, cremation and private graveside services at a later date.
