Rodger Carson

Rodger Dale Carson, 76, of Zanesville, passed away at his home on March 5, 2025. He was born on April 28, 1948 in Zanesville, a son of the late George W. and Virginia (Powell) Carson. He is survived by his wife Deborah (Jesse) Carson. Two sisters Linda Dicks and Janice Brown. Three children Shandra Carson Hough (Bryan), Travis Carson (Nikki), and Trevor Carson. Grandchildren Kellie Carson Glancy (Michael), Sophia Hough, Sylvia Hough, Logan Carson, and Phoebe Carson. Step-grandchildren Gavin Gordon and Chesney Gibson. His two best buddies Sam Ackers and Lynn Patenge. Three sisters-in-law Terry England, Becky (Larry) Orndorff, and Cindy (Delby) Cannon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law Chip Jesse and his inlaws James and Bonnie Jesse.

He was a member of NBHA, AQHA, APHA, American Legion Post #29, Zanesville VFW, DAV, was a 4-H leader and was a United States Navy veteran. Also, he was a well-known farrier for 42 years. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
