Roger Lee Caton

Roger Lee Caton, 69, of Roseville, passed away February 15, 2026 after an unexpected illness, surrounded by his family.
Born in Zanesville on November 16, 1956 he was the proud son to his late parents, Robert (Bobby) and Donna Faye Caton, and later raised by Darlene & the late Harry Caton.
Roger, A dedicated worker, spent many years contributing his skills to Riley’s home food mart, a significant tenure at the Friendship pottery & eventually retired from Armco Steel. His commitment to his work was matched only by his commitment to his family, friends & his community.
Roger previously attended Cornerstone Full Gospel Church in Duncan Falls and then the Word of God Community Church in Roseville.
Roger’s love for sports was more than just a pastime; it was a way of life.
An avid Dallas Cowboy’s fan & he could often be found cheering on his favorite teams with the same energy and outlook he applied to every aspect of his life. His enthusiasm was apparent, and game days were special, but it was when he was with his family that Roger was truly happy.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Cheryl (Riley) Caton. Roger was the proud father of Justin (Tina) Caton, Shannon (Ben) Hess, Sarah (Shawn) Hampp, Dallas, Rylee, Dakota, Jadelyn, Gracie Lynn, Emma & Ava Caton. Roger’s most treasured role was that of a grandfather. He adored his grandchildren, Josie (Ben) Bernard, Zoe Dodson, Gracie Hargraves, Riley Hampp, Brayden, Addison, Preston Hess, Anissa (Stevie) Dawson, Summer Caton, Caiden Sheppard-Caton, Kreed, and Sean; and a special friend,Kayden Spears. Roger’s legacy is also carried on by his sister, Shirley Savage as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitations will be 3 to 6 pm on Thursday, February 19, 2026; at the Word of God Community Church, 5445 3rd St, Roseville, OH 43777. Funeral services will be held at 6 pm with his cousin & friend Pastor Marc Caton officiating.
