Ronald Conner

Ronald “Ron” K. Conner, 67, of Senecaville, passed away Friday (June 28, 2024) at his home.
He was born November 2, 1956 in Columbus, son of the late James T. Conner and Evelyn “Jean” (Bowers) Conner.
A 1975 graduate of Meadowbrook High School, Ron had worked several years at Fabri-Form and later worked for the Guernsey County Senior Citizens Center as a driver.
He attended the Mount Zion Church of Quaker City.
Ron was a US Navy veteran. His daughter, Mandy, was born in Rota, Spain during his service time there. He was a former member of the Byesville VFW.
He enjoyed golfing and fishing. He was a big fan of the Buckeyes. He had a great passion for rock and roll music.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Everett and Mae Slasor; a brother-in-law, Dan Cole; a nephew, Randy Conner; and his best friend, Rambo.
Ron is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Cindy L. (Slasor) Conner, whom he married June 7, 1977; his daughter, Amanda “Mandy” Conner (& her fiancé, Shawn Wesbecher) of Columbus; his son, Tyler Conner of Cambridge; his grandson, Mason Scott of Columbus; his granddaughter, Marlee Scott of Columbus; two sisters, Peggy (& Harold) Ford of Granville and Patricia Cole of Miamisburg; two brothers, Ric (& Chris) Conner of Cambridge and Tim (& Kim) Conner of Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; and his sister-in-law, Betty McMillen of Newark.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Hospice of Guernsey, especially Chanell for her wonderful care & being there; to Pastor Jeff; to his best friends/brothers, Tom Ogle, Dave Stillions, Dave Hull, and Carol Oakley for always being there; and to the many other friends (too many to name) for their support and phone calls.
No calling hours will be observed. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Senecaville, is handling arrangements.
As an expression of sympathy, the family suggests that memorial contributions in Ron’s name be made to one of the following organizations: 1) Senecaville Fire Department, 135 Bridge Street, Senecaville OH 43780; or 2) Hospice of Guernsey Inc., PO Box 1165, Cambridge OH 43725.
