Ronald “Ron” Clair

Ronald J. Clair, 86 of Cambridge, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2024, at the Astoria of Cambridge Nursing Home.
He was born on October 20, 1938, in Marion County, West Virginia, son of the late Clarence Clair and Kathryn Wells. Ron was a veteran of the Marines and a member of the 9th Street United Methodist Church of Cambridge for many years. He worked as Captain of the Police Auxiliary in 1974 and worked as a driver for Spirit Services for 20 plus years, where he retired. He later worked as a driver for the Guernsey County Senior Citizens Center for 15 years. Ron loved fishing, camping, and boating. In his spare time, he enjoyed helping his wife with crafting and woodworking. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and loved ones.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Patricia (Gillespie) Clair; son, Ronald (Tina) Clair; 2 daughters: Deborah Parry, Kimberly Smith; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Robert Clair; sister, Shirley Owen; and son-in-law, Ronald Parry.
Per Ron’s wishes, a dignified cremation will be held at this time.
