Ronnie “Kid” L. Wilson, 68 of Philo, passed away peacefully at Genesis Hospital on Thursday, April 30, 2026, with his loving wife by his side.

Kid was born on August 6, 1957, in Willard, Ohio. He is the son of the late Robert E. and Dorothy J. (Rinker) Wilson. After high school, Kid proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He dedicated over thirty-nine years as an over the road truckdriver. Kid traveled across the country and even went to Canada, often times bringing along his wife for their adventures.

He loved playing music, especially his guitar and drums, and even recorded a song titled, “This Country’s Not For Sale”. Kid also found joy in tending to his yard and walking his fifteen-year-old dog, Zippy.

Kid is survived by his beloved wife of twenty-seven years, Connie S. (Wickham) Wilson, whom he married on January 27, 2001; his sister, Robin Wilcox of Urbana, his brother-in-law, Russell Wickham; his cousin, Kerry (Grace) Rinker, who Kid considered his big brother; as well as several nieces, nephews, and many, many great friends.

In addition to his parents, Kid is preceded in death by his siblings, Randy Wilson and Rebecca Salyer; as well as his precious dog, Tiger.

Visitations will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM on Monday, May 4, 2026, at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls. A funeral service will take place following visitations at 1 PM. Pastor Larry Harper will officiate the service. Ronnie will be laid to rest in Stovertown Lutheran Church Cemetery with full military honors provided by the George Selsam VFW Post #1058 and the United States Marine Corps.
