Rose Marie Tetak

Rose Marie Tetak, 92 of Zanesville, died, Thursday, April 15, 2021, at her home following a brief illness. She was born Saturday, November 10, 1928, in Zanesville, the daughter of Joseph Tetak, and Zuzanna (Bartak) Tetak and was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church.

Rose worked for Timken in her younger years and retired from Kmart. She loved to garden and was a dedicated caretaker to her parents.  She enjoyed traveling and was able to visit most of the United States and Europe. Locally, she made frequent trips to Amish Country.

Rose is survived by several nieces and nephews: Patricia Gibson, Ralph (Sally) Fusner, Steve (Jeanie) Tetak, Shelia Wilson, Christina McConnell, Dave Tetak and several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by three bothers: Frank Tetak, John Tetak, Sr. and Steve Tetak; two sisters: Helen Fusner and Margaret Holder; two nieces: Vicki Tetak and infant Mary Susan Tetak, and one nephew: John Tetak, Jr.

Friends may call 9:30 to 10:30 AM, Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 945 East Main Street, Zanesville, with Fr. Martin J. Ralko as celebrant.  Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery.
