Rosecrans Falls in Season Opener

It was opening night across the Zanesville and Southeastern Ohio area for boys basketball. Just after 7pm, it was tip off between the Philo Electrics and Rosecrans Bishops. Rosecrans, who entered the game and season with high expectations fell short in their opener 52-39.
The Electrics dominated time of possession, and implemented a physical brand of basketball up and down the court all night. Philo lead 28-12 at halftime. Grady Labishak led Rosecrans in scoring with 16 points. Philo was lead by Cade Searls with 20 points. Philo junior Cruze Bitler lead the Electrics in three pointers in the first half. and 41-26 after the third quarter. Philo begins the year 1-0, and will return home to face Meadowbrook Friday, December, 5th at 7:30pm. Rosecrans will stay at home next week and look to rebound against New Lexington Tuesday, November, 30th, at 7:30pm.
