Roseville Fire Dept. Celebrates 140 Years of Service

ROSEVILLE, Ohio–The Roseville Volunteer Fire Department celebrated its 140th anniversary on Saturday with a cruise-in car show.
More than 40 cars arrived to the station where the large open field nearby also hosted vendors, live music, and food for community members.
“The car show, I feel that brings a lot of good folks together. Something that everybody loves. Because, they want to see those things. And so get them out here, get the crowd here, and enjoy the day, the weather.” Zach Keylor, Executive Director of Roseville Volunteer Fire Department said. “There’s several great cars. We’ve got an old hearse on site here. And then, you know, we’ve got a ton of vendors, 30 plus vendors. And then I would like to bring up we’ve got the Narcan site here from Drug Free Muskingum, who’s here to educate people as well. ”
Other first responders like the police officers, sheriff’s deputies, and other fellow fire fighters came out in support of the local station. Sharing a love of classic cars and being sure to have something for everyone.
“Initially when we planned this a year ago, my whole thing was just a community engagement. That’s all I wanted.” Keylor said. “I wanted the community to be able to come out and have a good time for us to give back to them, because they gave us the ability to be serving for 140 years here. The engagement with the children’s always huge. You know, we want to be able to make sure they know we’re not scary people, and we’re just here to help. ”
The Roseville Volunteer Fire Department’s 140th birthday was certainly celebrated with style and featured awards for local heroes.
