Roseville Vol. Fire Department to celebrate 140 years with free festival

ROSEVILLE, OH- The Roseville Volunteer Fire Department is inviting the community to celebrate its 140th year of service with a full day of events in downtown Roseville.

The celebration takes place Saturday, September 13, on Main Street. Admission is free, with festivities starting at noon and lasting until 10 p.m. Events include a Cruise in Car Show, food trucks, a beer garden, craft vendors, and live music. Local student Ellesyn Gibson will sing the National Anthem at 5 p.m., followed by Up 2 No Good and North to Nashville closing the night.

“140 years is a long time, very few fire departments see those numbers, a lot of them are under 100, but for us to have something that has lasted 140 years is huge, the community deserves something like this, an engagement with us to be able to celebrate that,” said Roseville Volunteer Fire Department Executive Officer, Zach Keylor.

Special awards will also be presented to local heroes who recently saved a woman from a house fire. A raffle, 50/50 drawing, and auction will raise funds for the department.

“With us being 100 percent volunteer, all proceeds, such as donations, we’re going to do 50/50, a couple raffles, any of those donations will go 100 percent to the fire department to purchase new equipment that we may need or may not have to be able to be able to serve the community in a better aspect,” said Keylor.

More information about the upcoming celebration can be found on the Roseville Volunteer Fire Department Facebook page.
