Rosie’s Looking for a Loving Family

This week’s pet of the week is used to having a family.
However, Rosie a tan chihuahua mix finds herself alone. Her family could no longer care for the one-year-old and surrendered her to the shelter. Being in the shelter isn’t ideal for any animal, especially one that’s used to being with a family.
“We’re able to provide all the basic needs food, water, shelter but the one thing we can’t provide is that human touch 24 hours a day and that care that only a family can provide,” said Animal Shelter Executive Director Jody Murray.
Murray said that Rosie won’t get much bigger than her already 10 pounds and will make a great house dog. She’s also very lovable, though is a little tentative.
“Dogs that have some minor behavior issues at the shelter once they get to a home they’re usually a completely different dog or cat and do very well once they get out of here and I think it’s the security of knowing they have a forever home,” said Murray.
Rosie’s adoption fee is $135.00 If you are interested in adopting her. Murray said it’s important to stop in and spend some time with her and bring the family, so that you can be sure it’s the right match.
