Roy William Shultz

Roy W. Shultz, 83 of Zanesville, passed away on February 18, 2023, at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio after battling an extended illness.

He was born on October 9, 1939, in Zanesville, Ohio, son of the late Andrew Shultz and Edna (Gibson) Shultz. Roy was a veteran of the Navy and later a member of the American Legion. He later worked and retired from Owens Brockway Glass after many years of service. He was an avid truck and Harley lover. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching his football and Nascar. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children, Roy A. (Selina) Shultz of Florida, Teri (Richard) King, Karen (Jeffrey) Stoneburner, Debra Shultz, Chris (Michelle) Shultz of Florida, Devin (Shannon) Shultz; brother, Steve (Karen) Shultz of California; sister, Anna (Dale) Trescott of Florida, Lillie (Franklin David) Williams of Ohio; grandchildren, Amber (Josh), Shawna (Brian), Kaitlyn, Zachary, Joshua, Tequilla (Kevin); great-grandchildren, Dallas, Zoe, Addalynn, Ellianna, Abrianna, Camden, Ayden; great-great-grandchild, Makenna; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Glenna (Guss) Shultz; brother, Jerry Shultz; and nephew, Jeffrey Williams.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Roy to the Muskingum County Animal Shelter.
