Run for Paige this Weekend
A dice ride this weekend could mean new prosthesis for one local girl born without legs.
Paige Calendine is four years old and as she grows, she needs new prosthetic legs to accommodate her. This weekend her family is reaching out to the community for help to see that Paige continues her development.
Vice President of Usual Suspects Motorcycle Club, Chico Repuyan said that after meeting Paige there was no question they wanted to be a part of her journey.
“When I met her for the first time I was so touched in the fact that you’ve got this little girl born without legs and can do so many things but it just touched as a motorcycle club because if somebody can actually do things with a debilitation like that and be successful in doing it especially being that little it just touched our hearts so we wanted to definitely help,” said Repuyan.
The ride will stop at three locations including The Barn, The Elegant Lady Riders, and The Warehouse Steak and Stein. The ride will wrap up at The Barn with a celebration and raffle items.
The proceeds of the event will help Paige’s family pay for the medical expenses to fit her for prosthesis. Registration costs just $15.00 a person and $20.00 per couple. The first bike is out at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday morning and the last bike is in at 5:00 p.m. that evening.
