Ruth A. Pearce (August 4, 1946 – May 1, 2012)

Ruth A. Pearce, 65 of Zanesville, died Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at The Ohio State University Medical Center following a short illness. She was born Sunday, August 4, 1946 in East McKeesport, PA the daughter of John M. Lang and Mary S. (McElhaney) Lang. She married David S. Pearce on Saturday, January 29, 1966 and was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church.

Ruth worked with the WIC Program for over 20 years. Family was very important to Ruth. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother.

Ruth is survived by her husband: Dave Pearce; five children: Steven (Robin) Pearce of Newark; Brian (Deidre) Pearce Millersburg, Debbie (Wei) He of Philadelphia, PA, John (Tracy) of Newark and Lisa Pearce of San Diego, CA; seven grandchildren: Adam, Hayleigh, Michael, Christopher, Lisa, Kevin, and Davey; with number eight on the way; seven brothers and sisters: John “Jack” Lang and Patricia Lang both of Pittsburgh, PA, Barbara Renard of Cannonsburg, PA, Jerry (Helen) Lang of Apollo, PA, Kenny (Trish) Lang and Cathy Ferrel both of East McKeesport, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, May 4th, 2012 at The Hillis & Hardwick Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue and from 10:00 AM till 12 Noon on Saturday, where Funeral Services will be held 12:00 PM Saturday.
