Ruth Dodson

With profound love and deep sadness, we announce the passing of our mother, Ruth Ann Dodson.
A remarkable woman whose warmth, strength, and devotion shaped the very core of our family. She was the beloved wife of Charles Raymond Dodson, the love of her life, who preceded her in passing. Together, they built a life rich in commitment, joy, and resilience as they raised their nine children. Ruth Ann dedicated her life to creating a home overflowing with love, comfort, and belonging. As a devoted homemaker in the most honorable sense, she nurtured with both steadiness and grace. She was fun, spirited, full of life, and always ready to welcome anyone who came through her door with a warm hug. She never met a stranger, and her generosity of always giving more love than she had to spare set the mold for us all. Her kindness reached far beyond her means. She treasured time spent cooking, camping, fishing, singing, yodeling, dancing and gathering her family close. Her competitive spark shone brightly in every horseshoe match and every card game she played, approaching each one with determination, laughter, and an energy that made those moments unforgettable. Ruth Ann adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, showering them with the same unconditional love she gave her own children. To all of us, she was truly a one-in-a-million woman, selfless, vibrant and endlessly loving. Her legacy is one of love in its truest, purest form: A love that shaped generations, held our family together, and will continue to guide us long after her passing
